Poachers Cottage
This welcoming and charming one–bedroomed cottage (with single sofa bed in addition) offers all–inclusive comfortable accommodation for couples or singles, with space for a cot. Highchair available if required. Gas central heating and a coal effect gas fire in the sitting room keep the cottage cosy all year round for both short and long breaks.
The Local Area
Quietly located in a Conservation Area of the Market Town of Halesworth, on an historic street filled with other interesting period cottages, Poachers Cottage is well–placed to enjoy town, countryside and coast. Halesworth offers a colourful selection of interesting independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, many located in the nearby Market Place and along the pedestrianised Thoroughfare. The town is easily accessible with good road links and a station on the East Suffolk train line.

Downstairs
  • Living Room. With exposed timber beams, stripped floors with rugs and attractive Victorian fire surround housing a gas powered coal–effect fire. Single sofa bed and seating with side tables and lamps. Shelves with plenty of books and desk containing local information. Selection of games and jigsaws.
  • Kitchen. A room with a high ceiling and tiled floor. Plinth radiator at base of unit by step. Range of well–fitted units. Gas oven and hob, fridge with separate freezer compartment, washing machine, microwave, toaster and usual kitchen utensils, with plenty of crockery and cutlery.
  • Bathroom. A relaxing and well furnished room. WC and hand basin, bath with shower attachment. Heated towel rail.
  • Conservatory. Accessed from the kitchen. Brick built with tiled floor. Dining table and chairs. Highchair available if required. Window blinds plus fly screens and curtains at double doors to Courtyard Garden.
Upstairs
  • Landing Room/Quiet Room. With feature fireplace (not in use), hanging rail, seating and bookshelves in alcove. Mini hifi unit. Coir matting on the floor with rugs. The room is well lit with window to the front overlooking fields and a velux window to the rear, making this an ideal ’Quiet’ room or
  • Reading room. There is space here for a cot.
  • Double Bedroom. Coir matting on the floor with rugs. The room is well lit with window
  • To the front and a velux window to the rear. Airing cupboard housing boiler. Bedroom furniture includes chest of drawers with mirror over, ottoman, bedside cabinets and lamps and double bed with orthopaedic mattress.
Outside
  • Parking. There is on–street parking at the front (one–way street). Permit provided for duration of your stay.
  • Suntrap Courtyard Garden. With outside WC. A pretty and inviting outside space with established climbers, plants, potted plants and feature recess. Relax at the wrought iron table and chairs to the gentle sound of the Courtyard fountain.
